I am a huge fan of cemeteries, so it didn't occur to me you were being morbid
good alliteration in train tracks
I love the humor in this commentary on "residing" near a railroad track - seems even the dead get no peace under these conditions LOL :-) Brooke

It's not morbid but in an ironical way it's true and it's funny, made me smile, I love poems with twists in the tale, a pleasure to read.....

Hi Debbie,
what a set out of headstones! Does it just keep going as the death toll rises? This is a pretty reflective thought... Pack me in one of those fireworks sky rockets... You know the ones... The spray looks like cascading stars... Yeah that would do me fine. Interesting piece.
kindest thoughts,
James xx

James, I fear someday our whole world will be covered with tombstones and the rest of us will have no place to live. I think a sky rocket would be a great way to go. Thanks my friend~Debbie

Debbie, this is definitely not morbid. Your write has given me another good laugh today. I have seen this in some of your writings before this one. I think you have a really good sense of humor. I would like to see you show it more in your writings.
You are probably too young to remember the "Confucius say..." jokes. But you have reminded me of a couple. i.e.
"Confucius say: Woman who fly airplane, up side down, have crack up." The humor is produced by setting the stage in one direction and doing a 180 degree turn with a still factual statement. Here is another: "Man who lay woman on hillside, not on level."
The first thing I do every morning is to look for something that will give me a good laugh. Thanks for sharing with your friend, Bob

Train noises are enough to wake the dead. I lived near a siding where every night at 3 AM a group of refrigerator cars waited very noisily. It was quieter when we lived under the 27 runway near O'Hare.

Fine senryu subject handled well.

Thank you so very much, my friend. I live a block and a half from the train tracks. At first they really bothered me, but I don't notice them so much anymore~Debbie

I guess not. Rumble, rumble, toot, toot. Day and night. And the disembodied residents can't complain.

As sad and serious as death is, you've managed to make this funny.

Nice alliteration:
-train tracks

Hi Debbie,
Life has a way of sharing all that death is even before it happens. This is creative and unique in its delivery.
Well penned and thought provoking too.
Thanks for sharing it.

Yes. It is possible.

It's a sad thought though.

Your poem makes one wonder what eternity might hold.

Thanks for sharing this. JW

Short and sweet, but that is an interesting thought. I always wonder about the souls who hover near their graves. I bet a train would seem very loud.
