Well you are included in the haiku even though the emphasis is on the horse. Perhaps even a picture of a person on the horse would be more convincing. Nevertheless very nice words. Good Luck in the contest. Regards Dorothy

What a gallant message, to want to be carried at a merry pace with noble purpose at the core. It would be a far different world if we all had such aspirations. As to the haiku part, don't worry. What the contest calls for is a contradiction in terms from the start. A haiku is never about a person, only nature, so you were sent on a false mission. There is no way that you can lose points for doing as told. - Wendy

'Noble Steed.' Noble steed cantering through life, carry me. They used to be the most reliable transport of the days gone by. I count myself lucky to have been part of those days. A good poem. Well done.
