Life is a ride that can end in the good, the bad or the ugly. The manner in which we face our tribulations dictates what we will receive at the end.

I really like you Haiku and how you incorporated yourself in it for the contest! I love horses and wouldn't mind having a noble steed myself!

What a horse's tale. Sorry, that was not called for. I love that you fell in love with the horses. I think the picture and people are right for the poem. A very good writing for this one.

3-5-3 is fine. Haiku Don't have to be 5-7-5. Noble steed canters through life with his head held high and a sure, strong gait. Carry me- horse as spiritual deliverance. Keep riding.

Cannot get better than this for a Haiku with photo of a beautiful horse on a mission in a rich field of mission. Well done for a simple format. HIS GRAYNESS

Your poem is in excellent 3/5/3 form
good pairing of canter and carry
I like the choice of "noble," which conveys such power in describing the bearing of this animal

Love the imagery. Love the artwork.
Horses are the best animals..... work hard, faithful, fun to ride on, and they don't mess up the house. LOL
Neat third line.
Very well done.

I liked your thought-provoking reference to "canters through life" and appeal in the final line. I also enjoyed your alliteration of "c's" and reinforcing picture. Best wishes in the contest. -Joan

Very lovely. I see you used the 3-5-3 Haiku form for this. I love the description of noble steed for the horse. Makes me think of the Lone Ranger's Silver. Interesting to be carried through life by this wonderful horse. Great picture of the horse with the road ahead. judi

I think you're correct about the haiku not being quite as outlined with 5-7-5 syllables per line. You have 3-5-3. But as a horse lover, I totally relate to the sentiment. You have put into few words what being with a noble steed means. Love the picture with a view from the back of the horse. I love the poem as it is. Good job.
