Domestic abuse is a horrible thing, and this poem is a beautiful reminder of the lives lost due to this act. So many never leave, for fear of retaliation. So sad.

Yes it is sad. I have benn awed and humbled by its destruction. I've also been emboldened by the resilience of those survivors who took the chance. Equal extremes. Thank you so much for your generous review and for the encouraging comments.

Your poem on domestic violence evokes a lot of emotions and images.
The rhymes are good and so is the flow. Nice alliteration in last stanza with "s": "I sing a song of silent plea..."

It's very nicely written. The only thing I would do differently if it were mine is I would repeated the first two lines of the poem instead of the two you used, as they didn't follow the rhyme scheme anyway or maybe used the word breath in the to rhyme with death. The last line just kind of sticks out to me like a sore thumb. Otherwise, I liked the poem. Words flowed well. Thank you for sharing.

This seemed very personal and was wrought with pain. I liked the use of broken glass as a metaphor for life lost. The rhythm and the emotion were true and very vivid. Nicely penned.
