This poem is highly deserving of an exceptional rating Belinda. A profound description of what I see as a temporary journey into the evilness of hell, only to be saved by the holiness of Christ the Savior. The words chosen are picturesque along with the rhythm and rhyme. Simply magnificent:)

The writer uses the aabb rhyme scheme effectively. The rhyming is good. The piece flows well as the writer does a good job of not forcing the rhymes. The photo compliments the piece well as I see nothing that I would change in this piece.

A lovely spiritual poem with all the right warnings at the start gradually moving towards showing one how to cut out the sins and up the chances of getting to heaven. I have been pleased to notice a lot of this type of writing on FanStory in the past year, both poetry and prose, and it is now one of the premier outlets for promoting faith. Your poem is a prime example of this and with lines like
'The soul cannot but search to find
The Potter who restores the mind.'
it ranks very highly amongst the reasoned explanations of why faith matters and prevails and does not just stop at saying 'be good and you'll be saved.' I really liked this. Thanks. Anton

Oh my. I thank you so much for the high praise you have given me in this review. I am inspired to continue on in my spiritual writing. I have also been happy to see the amount of spiritual writing here. They've begun to use faith aspects as writing prompts also. Thank you again for your review and for the excellent rating.

This poem uses both full rhyme and slant rhyme well to describe a person's precipitous fall after following many wrong paths. It is a poem of finding faith and letting it
provide the right path. With faith health of mind and spirit come and you find strength to not follow the wrong paths.

Thank you so much for capturing and restating much of what I intended in this piece. That is very encouraging to me. Thank you, also, for the excellent rating.

more than a five star rating
I will not touch this entry
allow me to let it stand on its own
because it does
there is nothing I could ever add
the words are both beautifully displayed and stated
this is very much poetry
the reader can see all the attention to detail
including the title
never did you stray
thank you for sharing
it was a pleasure to read
ann marie
it was very clever of you to display the attached image when talking about restoring oneself
our minds and bodies go through that transition

I thought this was quite nice to read. The turbulent souls journey to salvation. It is comforting to know God eases that wayward spirit. Thanks for sharing. PP

A profound and reflective poem. Personally I feel, the more you read this, you get newer insights from the poem which could pave the way for each one's salvation.

Your faith and commitment to others is authentic and true and I can believe that it gives you comfort. Your faith in the icon, the Godson makes me wonder. The strangest ways in which God works, is the distance he keeps from us ordinary mortals. You talk of confronting the abyss within and your individual soul. That has nothing to do with blind faith. Whatever the case, each to his own understanding. You write fine poetry. "The potter who restores the mind" reminds me of the fatalism of Omar Kayyam. Best wishes. -Ekim777

Wow. Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and for the encouragement you provided me in comparing this piece (or a portion of it) to Omar Kayyam! I'm truly grateful and appreciate the excellent rating very much.

That was a beautiful journey for you, its an encouraging poem for many to try and at least to find a way out of how to reach there soul. Without believing in something very powerful, even someone we cannot touch, but we put our trust in Him. We then will find peace.
