I really would have a hissy fit if I were to see a bat! This is a charming poem that is written well. And I just love the happy ending for the people and the bat!

Excellent

Bats are right up there with snakes, insects, and other creepy crawly things. When I was a kid, we had a bat get into our upstairs bedroom. Thank goodness, that was the only sighting. Count on those people who come from a farm! They know how to take care of things. (Personally, I wouldn't care whether it survived or not.) Well stated, and a creative topic to write about. judi

Excellent

I've never had a bat visit any place I've lived. Where I live now, I get an occasional mouse that my cats catch. I really like mice, but you can't train a cat to merely chase them away.

One place I lived in Japan had a thatched roof where rats lived and tunneled. Sometimes they'd fight and one would fall through.

It wasn't too uncommon to have one run across my bed at night, but I was used to them and they never bothered me too much.

I did have to wash dishes quickly and keep food in cans and jars, though. In all, they weren't all that much of a nuisance.

And, later, there was the real Oscar Rat that moved in with me in Hawaii for a couple of months. I enjoyed his company and was sorry when he finally left. He wanted to find a ship in order to see the world.

Excellent

How do bats get in houses? It's a mystery as no one sees them making their entry. That's why they drive people scatty-batty, and the source of that phrase.

Lucky you've got an expert in bat removal cleaning your house.

Excellent

Bats can be pretty scary looking. I had some in my pool shed awhile back. I saw something flying in and out a few times at night and thought it was birds. I fed them for a while until a friend pointed them out.
