What a wonderful suite of 5-7-5's, capped by the perfect picture! You captured a complex period and man very effectively. Thank you for the history lesson. Cheers- Joan

This is fantastic! Great structure and a very solid rhythm or cadence. I love your assonance in the first poem. Such powerful history reflections too. Accurate. Very strong piece here. Loved it.

What a wonderful way to commemorate Abraham Lincoln. There was a movie made about him. It came out earlier. I want to see it. But this poem is wonderful. Informative and well researched. Also, clearly written in short form. Exceptional work.
I ran out of stars, but here's a joke:
Q: Which day do chickens hate the most?
A: Friday

Excellent!
A well-penned, fact-laded poem praising so famed a historical figure;
Great concept of 5-7-5 suite of one associated with significant, imperative events.

Hi, Treischel,
This is an excellent series of linked 5-7-5 verses. Each meets the 3 line/syllable requirement. They hang together well and give biographical information about a must admired man. I enjoyed this poem.
