Wonderful alliteration of the letter S running through this poem. Well thought out. Nicely written. Good format. Excellent work.

Thank you sunnilicious. That alliteration kept me from calling it a Senryu.

An amazing picture!
The unique beauty of fireworks utilizing nice alliteration so finely complements the great photograph.
Adults and children admire so unusual a display.
Excellent!

Thank you Capricorn. The alliteration keeps it from being a Senryu.

I like the picture of the child in the background and the sparkler in the forefront....excellent 5/7/5...bursting alliteration on the first two lines and a personal touch on the last...

Thank you Nicci. The alliteration I added kept me from calling it a Senryu.

Can't have been easy to make this photo rightly. And you did. Your grandson must have had such fun with holding this.
Nice and catching title as well.

Very pretty poem about children and the fascination with light. Our five year old surrogate grandson loves to chase lightening bugs in the yard after dark. What a delight to watch him.

Hi, Treischel,
This is excellent 5-7-5 poetry meeting all of the requirements of that form. Not only does it bring back memories of past holidays with sparkler traces but of happy campfires with burning brands writing names of loved ones in the sky.
