This is sweet; I like it. The idea of a "true kiss" sounds interesting. Guess we all want someone who will write us letters. Thanks for sharing!

Good morning Crystie,
Thank you for your kind thoughts
Everything this poet lived for is in the last lines of this tiny poem.
As someone, much wiser than I, once shared with me, god must have needed him more than I did.
He died less than a month after I wrote this poem in the spring of 2009.
I wrote about him in a very happy poem called "rapscallions gifts".
I offer it, not for potential reviews...rather for your enjoyment.
It is a celebration poem.
Not for a birthday or a holiday.. But for a childhood lost
and found
Peace, hugs and lots of smiles,
Jill

This author really deserved the recognition and for the poem to reach all time best status means the author was able to connect with the readers. Love has always been an effective subject that easily melts the hearts of the readers. and this poem did it. Kudos.

God bless uptowngirlchef1961, sorry to hear that, death is definitely painful but yes, your wise friend is right, he must be fulfilling an important task in heaven. I will read the poem, my new friend and thanks for the gesture. God bless.

words are arranged on the page. The attached illustration
