Excellent photo to complement this poem with a form you possibly invented yourself. You wrote so well about such a hot day. It has a nice structure this poem and story.

Go, go, go .....!!!
Yes, yes - listen to the man - don't waste your life - it's too short!
I'm a get-up-and-go person and find it hard to deal with folks whose get up and go has got up and gone!

Exactly....do Something...and It starts by waking up and get moving. Great poem and motivating. Do you find these different poem types and structures on FS or somewhere else.

Thanks Nicci. FS carries several under the Home tab, then Poetry Dance, then All poetry. But many members create their own, like this one I created. You can also Google different types of poems.

Hi, Treschel,
I do not know whether it is technically a poetic exhortation or not. But is certainly a rousing call to wake up and get moving which I think will be a characteristic or enlightened society. Thank you for your support.

So, this a Treischel original format! Outstanding. You should adorn it with a part of your name. After all, you did the research and created it. How about a 'treiscehllation exhortation?' That's cool, and rhymes, too. Or, if you want it to be more simple, what about 'T-verse exhot, or, just 'T-Verse'? it really should have your name attached to it, I believe.
As far as this wonderful 'T-Verse' poem goes, it certainly exalts the benefits of not being a couch-potato, as well as the great fellowship spent with family and friends exploring all the wonders of nature.
Your genuine love for all of Mother Nature's spectacular gifts God's granted her permission to bestow upon is, always shines through in your poetry. I'd love to see a story from you one day, detailing one of adventures spent outdoors. Or, perhaps you've written one already? I suppose I will have to delve deeper to find out.
Another wonderful offering here, Mr. T...

I like this 12-line Exhortation, Tom;
Valid statements of the pleasures of water activity, promoting valuable time spent with family and friends.
Well-written, summer poem
