I love the art work and words written.
Even though this lady is 95 years of age
We don't like seeing our loved ones die.
We miss them no matter what age.
We will meet up again to see our loved ones when we die.
Memories are very special to hang onto.

Rose just passed away a couple of hours ago - peacefully. It was her 'time', but we'll still miss her. She was always larger than life!

Thx Lou - I believe the same thing. I always think of the ending of the wonderful "Lord of the Ring" movies, where Frodo embarks upon his next journey ... on a boat ... into the mists ... with people he knows and loves.

Hello Sharyn,
It's really a nice piece of Spiritual Poetry. Its theme is perfect for a person who is about to leave for Heavenly Abode after fully enjoying this mortal life's mortal pleasures.
Instead of shedding false tears and making the out going person's journey painful, it is better to speak some encouraging and consoling words. 1st and last stanzas are marvelous from this point of view.
Its language is simple having spontaneous flow with nice rhyming scheme and imagery.

Bless you Joe - it's always been one of my favorite movies! AND I was lucky enough to play Tzeitl, the eldest daughter, in a theatre production of it!

June Hill, a lovely 93 year old widow in my congregation died late Friday night, and I just learned it this morning. She was part of my Sunday morning ritual. For years, she and her husband would enter the church and walk past my pew and we would smile and greet each other. Then when Roy died, Lorraine Hawk, June's neighbor, started driving her to church and would walk her down the aisle, and I would smile and exchange greetings with both of them as they passed by. Lorraine came over to me before church to tell me June had passed in her sleep. She wanted me to hear it before the pastor announced it so I wouldn't be caught off guard. So your poem and your news mean more to me today than they will to most, I think :-)

A huge vacancy - June was not a close friend of mine, but she was a constant in my life. I knew with certainty that every Sunday morning would include that smile and exchange of hellos. She radiated life and joy in that smile.
