I love your selection of illustration and of acrostic phrase
I was born in 1951, so I do have my share of 50s memories :-)
strong use of rhyming couplets
worrie's will have to wait - drop the apostrophe
good alliteration in bet your belly's and in joint is jumpin'

Such a unique poem. It definetely took me back in time. I love the references to people of that decade especially Lucy and Ethel. Your use of imagery makes the reader feel as though they are there. great job!

THE FIFTIES WERE THE GOOD YEAR ,CAR HOPS, DRAG RACING, SWIMMING IN THE POND ON A HOT DAY AND NOT GET ARRESTED FOR IT LIKE TODAY. CAR SHOWS AT THE A&W, DOLLAR MOVIE NIGHTS ON THE WEEKENDS FOR A CARLOAD, YEP THEY WERE GOOD TIMES.
