Trust. Goes hand in hand with hope. Funny that your last piece must also mention Hope. Nice poem, with its touch of wry humor.

I fell for it, too. I thought this was going to be a tale of desperate drought days! I love the determined doubt here and the self-effacement at the end. There are so many wonderful lines here: your descriptions of the clouds, the "folded valleys" (brilliant), "the silky feel of rain," and on and on. Luscious language. The lack of punctuation adds to the immediacy and the humor. Wonderful. Wish I had six stars to give you!

Wonderful alliteration and assonance in this. Great story line and theme too. Every day, the weather man predicts 60% chance of rain. Never happens. Sigh. I get out the hose and water.

I really enjoyed this one. Excellent work and oh, so true. When will we learn? Seems we forget all to quickly, don't we?

The images that came to my mind. Sometimes sexy, sometimes faith, sometimes trusting that things will change. Wow, you got a lot of me from one poem. Thanks.

This strikes a familiar note in my life. No matter how often I am reassured that all will be fine and everything comes in its own time, I still find myself doing something that I know I shouldn't be doing. Usually, it ends up looking like crying over spilled milk. When will we learn? Smiles, Cindy

when will I learn
to
trust?

Oh don't feel so bad girl it could be worse. If it happens every year, then you gotta trust that it will again. Heheh.

Funny thing how people do think if they try to take advantage of some natural phenomenon that they have caused the event. I hear that often, glad you wrote about this thought pattern.

People think their sports teams have lost because they took a pee instead of watching the game on TV. I seldom watch sports as I know the score will be the same the next day in the paper, and I save myself lots of time to do real stuff.

Hi Sharyn -
I truly loved reading this one - I would of sixed it but it seems you are on rations. I loved the deeper message in this post. But also you have this ability to pull me into your work.

So I feel the weight of the bucket of water, feel the ache of what dies in the garden, and then we gasp for the deeper wisdom - we must trust in what is to be. I loved the ending - sort of looping back around the circle and cycle of life.
Fabulous work my friend. Thanks for sharing it.
Maureen
