Thank you so much for taking the time to read and review my words. I had a lot of fun with this as I love Puzzles and Poetry. It was really great to find a combination of the two. - Wendy

This deserves a six for sheer creativity. This is very well done! I've read it several different ways, and they all make sence. And all are well crafted. I'm not familiar with this form, but aim to learn how to write one. thanks for sharing this wonderful piece!

Your poem is in good cleave form so that the poem reads well all the way across and if you only read one column at a time
excellent use of alliteration throughout
wonderful descriptive detail and a fun fantasy element
Brooke :-)

What an interesting form of poetry. I have never seen a poem like this one. Of course, I am not very well versed in types of poetry, that is for sure, but I am taken by how well this one is written. It is most entertaining in word and in the way it is written.

Hello emjai! Thank you for taking the time to read and review my poem and a belated welcome to FS. The cleve isn't a form that you will see often. I love puzzles and poetry, and this seems to me to be the perfect mix, so I have tried a few. Some successful, others I've buried along with several clumps of my hair. I think it looks far more difficult than it really is. You should try one.- Wendy

good God woman! how does one go about creating one of these? like the whole piece, but would have to say my favorite is the center column when read top to bottom.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and review my little puzzle. Since I love both Poetry and Puzzles, this one was really fun for me. I appreciate your pointing out your favorite. I didn't mention it in my author's notes, but if you are going to go all out in a double cleve, the center line should be a different frame of reference from the outer two. So, I juggled until the outer line's trees actually manifested while the center just fantasized the change. I am so glad you liked it. - Wendy

Thank you for this cleve r poem. It has an artistry about it. I loved the picture and the picture you drew with words. I can see leafy locks slowly rustling . I especially love the hope of spring. My favorite line is ," landscape become body". It was cleve r .I hope you like puns.

I not only like puns, my family calls me the queen of puns. I actually just love words, and when you know enough of them, you can usually twist just about anything to add a bit of wry pun-ishment to it. I appreciate your review, your kudos, and of course those yummy stars. - Wendy

This poem shows a great deal of cleavage, in fact, twice the usual amount.

I love your references to Dryads, too. We hear very little about that particular type of nymph in Toronto.

Since you've spent valuable time writing 5 poems here, you deserve at least 1 star per poem + 1 bonus.

Cheers,
DW

This is new to me. I love the intricate word play and obvious care needed to structure such a poem. Reading it is great fun, almost like playing dress up as a little girl...trying it first one way, and then the other.

Your dress-up reference made me smile so much. It really is like trying on different clothes until you find the perfect outfit. I love puzzles and poetry, so I am having great fun with this form. It takes a great deal of time, but then the satisfaction is so much greater when you think you have it right. Thank you for taking the time to read and review my work. - Wendy

An incredible poetic achievement that shows masterful talent to achieve this extremely difficult format that is cohesive in so many forms and good in each. Bravo!

Thank you so much for the kudos. I love puzzles, and now that I have found a poetic puzzle, I am a very happy old girl. It was a bit of a frustration as I tried to mix and match the lines, but the satisfaction was so much greater, having really had to work at it. I just might try a few more of these when my hair grows back. Thanks you again for that final star, It means a lot. - Wendy
