Ooh... Nice, lovely romantic poem. Isn't everlasting love such a beautiful concept? Perfect of a Shakespearen sonnet. Hey, I have seen in different authors' notes a reference to Evil Eddie, including yours now. Who, or what is that?

Evil Eddie is the "Advanced Edit" program on FS Opal - sometimes it seems to have a mind of its own, and really muck up your setting out/ formatting of a piece! :)S

Truly love rhythms-note-pulse changes, life is to move on with love in changeable state for nothing but change is truth, this Shakespearean sonnet has nice catch of love lost and promise to revive love, nice rhyme couplets vows, I enjoyed. 12/505

Hi Sharyn,

You have written a fine sonnet for the contest. Your rhyme is spot on as is the syllable count. I like the theme and the descriptive words and each line has been composed with care. Well done and good luck in the contest....blessings, chey

A very upbeat sonnet. Wondering if the flame's still there? At least, you're wondering. Some have even given up on that. Nice alliteration here, there, and the rhyming is as smooth as "a sky of softest peach chiffon." Some very original metaphors throughout. Great stuff!!! Les

This is a great lyrical creation, apparently following all the requirements of the genre. The rhyme scheme, to such an artistic ignoramus as I am, is traditional, and very neatly done in this effort. The theme is also as prescribed. Almost like 'whereas' twice and then 'therefore.'

Good fun to read. You and Willie have done well.

I like sonnets like your of what happens when it seems like when the spark of love dies and you want to

find our hearts again, with joyous breath,
and ride those wildest rainbows ... unto death.

This is a wonderful poem. I really love the word choice, and the theme. I really liked:
Let's find our hearts again, with joyous breath,
and ride those wildest rainbows ... unto death.
I think that this a wonderful final couplet.

this was a lovely sonnet...I feel some pain for the loss of having the kids around and needing that flame to rekindle and turning it all around, great job!

Oh, Sharyn, this was such a joy to read. You have taken an age old theme and presented it with refreshing and surprising words. The style you chose suits the subject matter perfectly. Nicely done, Lou
