A very well-written story/poem about the horrific death of Jesus on the Cross for sinners like us, He gave up the throne of glory to set us free and to become the living savior we honor today.

Since I never saw the oriniginal, I'm pleased you called it back. These are very compelling rhymed couplets written on a variable meter that seems to work, regardless. Good use of questions to draw the reader to participate.

Amen. This is beautiful and so truthful. It always gives me chills when I read of Jesus's crucifixion. At times I even cry. I'm not worth it but I'm glad he has that love for me. Great job. Happy Easter. Shirley

Wow, this is so powerful and so beautifully written. You provide a great deal of information, but with reverence and love and empathy. This poem is lovely and sad and rhymes very well, and I'm glad you revived it at this perfect time. Have a very happy Easter.

He had to be in agony Roxanne. What a terrible way to die
Back then men seemed to just dwell on different ways to cause pain and death. Jesus overcame death with his death on the cross. Well done my friend. Nancy:)

A faithful write Roxanna with good rhymes and lots of fine detail for the Easter celebration. The cruelty of making someone's death longer is incomprehensible, but we know the stories to be true. Have a great Easter, love Dolly x

Yes it was a very cruel way to die, the Romans love inflecting pain, they also threw Christians to the Lions. Fun people to be with. =( Thanks so much Dolly.

Your author's notes tell a far more horrific tale of Jesus' death. How cruel were people back then. No, they still are. Your poem was extremely well written, Rox, but I learned an awful lot more in your author's notes. Well done, my friend. :) Sandra xx

Yes, many have no idea how awful hanging on a cross was, even without being beaten half to death. Thanks so much Sandra. Rox

Christ is risen indeed - Hallelujah!

A great reminder of who we are in the Master, Roxanne. I've enjoyed your barnyard frolics - this is a different side of you. Glad I encountered it.

Have a lovely week, my dear.

Love,

Sonali :) xx

Scripture says that He became poor that we could become rich in every blessing, praise His name! A beautiful but horrific reminder of the most horrible of deaths for our sakes! Well written in rhyming couplets, good aa rhyme scheme, nice even meter. Blessings, Roy.
