Enjoyable creative style, Quadruple 5-7-5 Haiku Poem. Well thought out and nicely written. Your syllable count seems to be perfect in every verse. Vivid imagery too. Fun. Overall, excellent.

Just a note:
Hi Treischel. Have a wonderful Easter Weekend. Hugs, Alicia

This bright little poem is thawing out my heart and making me ready for some Spring.:) This was full of wonderful pictures. It was truly a delight to read. If I were you, I'd consider sending it in to Highlights for children or High Five (Highlights for youngest readers.) They often feature poems, High Five has theirs on the first page. The poems are usual seasonal too. I think they would snap this up. ;)

Thank you MelReyn. Really? I've never done something like that. Would I just google them?

Yes, really. Go to www.highlights.com They have their submission guidelines posted on their website. They are tough to break into, they had a 'freelance ban' going on for a year. But nothing ventured, nothing gained. I would try. You should try. If not, there are plenty of other kids magazines out there.

I took your advice and sent it in. We'll see what becomes of it. Thank for the suggestion.

Aloha Threishel,
I love your poem, makes me think of the old saying, April showers brings May's flowers. Thank you for sharing this great poem about the arrival of Spring.

Great job on this one my friend. I always associate the welly boots as a spring time awakening - mud everywhere and when my kids were small - they always found the mud.
This work reminded me of that childlike wonder in springs melt.
Thanks for sharing it.
Maureen

Great way to show the changing of the season and the joy of spring. It brightens up the earth. No more brown grass. Birds are signing. So lovely.
