Your poem shows me what I believe a free verse poem should be. Short, precise, descriptive lines, sometimes only a single word or two, emphasized by strategic pauses and a few rhymes inserted for accent.

You have expressed well the joy and spontaneity that attends photography; the desire to seize (and freeze) a transient and magical moment in time before it is gone for good. When you combine your photographer's eye with your poet's flair for words, you create a whole new form of communication: picture poems, as you so aptly describe it.

Thank you Indie, what's cool today is that with a digital camera, you can take 100 shots, it doesn't matter, because you don't need to develop film.

The sun does look like a heart! That was a wonderful artistic photo to go with this wonderful poem. I like the way the rhythm rolls down through your words, there is a lot of that and some rhyme in this free verse poem. Nicely done and leading into a pleasurable read. xsx Sandra

A truly amazing Picture Poem especially the picture of the glowing red sun-heart in the horizon. The backdrop of tree branches is striking too.
Click, click and more clicks and the lens zoom in on the scene - anything that comes into view becomes an amazing jigsaw of life and nature at its best.
Excellent write. This poem had a format style of short and long verses/lines. Good format for highlighting something of interest.

i liked the theme of the poem .it was a different experience to read this after reading a lot of love ,hate sorrow verses.its true when you look thro a camera every scene ,every angle seems to tell a story.long line followed by short ones,and in the fifth verse good rhyming too.I enjoyed reading it.
