This is an awesome read that has some wonderful thoughts. You touched upon a subject that folks often come to realize too late. Life and its many tasks should never be so taxing one cannot stop to appreciate the things around them. You said it beautifully. I like these two lines: "and it dawns on me that God's whole world is pulsing in sunlight."

I agree, stop and smell the roses occasionally. Appreciate what is right there in your back yard and enjoy every minute. Life's too short to waste. Love the sound of this when I read it aloud.

Blue is my favorite color to stare upon. But for some reason, I don't wear anything blue if I can help it. Don't know why. Loved you poem. It was very well thought out and written. Loved the image of the bird. And thought the background colors were perfect for this writing.

Your description of the day made me want to sing. So many colors of blue, Not just the blues of the sky, but also of the sea and the day itself. Not a blue day as is sad, but a day of blue and white.
