I have to start by saying, I love the glasses in your new profile pic. They make you look very studious. I promise, no pinky swear, I mean cross my heart. Just kidding around they look great! Love the poem! Your creative genius shines through. Hope all is well. :)
God Bless!

Haha thanks Douglas, I was hoping for the more intelligent look. LOL They are only for reading though so I only look intelligent and studious SOME of the time. LOL
Thanks for the sixer...sorry for the tardy reply...so darn busy at the moment.

Nice job Clopo. Sounds like those two little stars are still providing you with plenty of inspiration.
"Pinky swear" is a great line to work into an octogram. Which came first, I wonder, the phrase or the idea to write an octogram? Either way, it's cute and perfect for the form.
A pleasure to read, and I'll have to see if I can work "pinky swear" into a conversation somehow.
My best wishes to you,
Sal x

Hey Sal, thanks so much
Most appreciate your review and I thought of the words first.
I have so much stashed I just let the line work itself into whatever form it wants...seems like "pinky" chose the "octo"...haha
Thanks again...
I hope to drop by soon...

Wow! Pinky swear! Haven't heard, or seen that for a long time. I'll have to do it with my girl friend the next time we are talking about private stuff. Besides being cute and funny, this poem has great structure, form, rhyme, and flow. Good job at writing this one my friend...Katz

Hi: I wasn't familiar with the pinky swear phrase but you did a great job of explaining it and the good picture made it clear.
I love your foot notes, I keep learning and learning.

Closet, excellent display of craft in your humorous poem. Ah, the "pinky swear" that leads into the adult version of "Hey, can you keep a secret?" Its an uncommon thing for folks to truly keep a secret! Regards, Hector

It's so great seeing you post. I love the term "pinky swear" myself LOL! I actually use it on occasion. I used it a lot more when I was younger :). Good octogram modification. It's a tough form to write. How you doing??? Hugs, Sue

A truly outstanding Octogram. It has all of the punchy metre, beautifully executed, that this format needs and the punch line is a delight, along with the rest of the vernacular. LOVE IT.

The message is clear and to the point. The writer does a good job of defining the term pinky swear. The writer grabs the attention of the reader from the beginning and holds it to the end. I like this. Good job.
