I love this energetic and fun verse about the farm animals. You did a good job writing the cast of characters, flowing dialogue, and the wonderful theme of baby Jesus. Well done.

OH. What a sweet story. I bet your niece, Izabella will cherish this forever. I hate to hear that your book publisher went out of business/or went to prison. Does Amazon allow you to self-publish it?

What a lovely version of the Christmas STORY, involving the very animals that were there on the day of the Christ-child's birth, about Isabella frog who wanted to get a present for the child, and couldn't catch a dragonfly which was a perfect gift. Well done Rox, and excellent Christmas story, well scribed, blessings, Roy

Thank you Roy, It was very fun to write. I didn't get it published for a couple of years after I wrote it and by then Izabella had a little brother so I had to add him of course.
Now there are 2 more. I have written a story for each all but Lilybell's have been published. They give their kids such different names. I hope She won't resent me, She is something else. So different from the other, beautiful and a tough cookie. A daddy's girl, the only one who is.
The other always ran to me and hug me when I came to see them, so excited. She never did, and was not friendly. You couldn't talk to her right away, but had to wait for her to warm up to you, but she was never loving like the other 3. I did babysit just her once and she was pretty good with me. But I was ordered around and told what I could and couldn't touch. =} I took her to the craft store and they had a tower of stuffed animals. She was about 2 1/2 She would take 2 animals and hold them out looking them over comparing them. I had never seen a little kid do that. It was so funny. She finally decided on one. She is so adorable, but just something else. =}

Yes, we have have, and all quirky, all different , but we adore them all. Thanks for sharing,

Hi Rox. This is a very sweet story, and I'm glad you revived it in time for the holiday. I love the innocence of the story, with each of the animals giving an appropriate gift, and Izabella wanting nothing but to give something to the Baby King, with no thought to herself. I appreciate that her friends make sure she realizes that, despite her good intentions, it wasn't safe for a little frog to be out by herself at night. I also admire that Super Pig's rescue was not some dangerous feat a child might emulate but, rather, just finding something large enough to hold a drangonfly. This is a lovely story for children, particularly because the story of the Baby Jesus is incorporated gently and not preached. I would definitely give/read this book to a child.

Thank you so much Michele. I would love to have it reprinted. I would have to use another Co. as the one I used it out of business and the CEO arrested for embezzlement. Isn't that nice. Super Pig should teach him a lesson! I wrote it for my little niece, Izabella, for her 1st birthday. Thank you for the lovely review. It was very fun to write. Merry Christmas, Rox

Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry to hear about the previous company you'd worked with. At least their CEO got his just desserts. Meanwhile, I hope Izabella appreciates how lucky she is to have you for her aunt.
-
She has moved far away from me. All the way to AL!! How dare her parents do that. So I'm not speaking to them. Just kidding. They have 4 kids and we miss them very much. ={ I have written a story for each of them, but now all were published. Thanks again,
-
How rude! Have you noticed that parents do things that are in the best interests of themselves and their kids, without taking anyone else into consideration???!!!
-
I know!! Parents stink =}
-
As a parent myself, I have to agree. What a nasty breed we are!!!

Hi Roxanna,
What a delightful Christmas story and so beautifully told.
I felt the awe Isabella must have felt as she gazed on the newborn King.
How sad it is out of print my grandchildren would have loved it.
Blessings

Yes I am very sad about it. The publishing company that did it is out of business and the CEO was arrested for fraud and embezzlement. Isn't that nice. The sad thing is they advertised as a Christian Publishing Co. I may try Amazon Book Publishing and reprint it. I have only one copy of it.I keep checking Amazon to see if anyone is selling their copy.
Thanks so much Shirley. You have a blessed Christmas.

Well it is a great story for young ones, I can imagine. Why don't you go ahead and have the book printed again, especially at Christmas seasons?
Thanks for an enjoyable read.
She thought about the baby Kind(King?) and how He had given the greatest Christmas gift of all, Himself.

Two have gone out of business that I used. It's a tough business now days. Thank you so much for the great review. Rox

This is a beautiful story for the children to read or have someone o read to them. There are a few typos in spelling I would go over it slowly towards the end and you will find them.

Thanks so much. It was very fund to write. Izabella is the name of my niece and I wrote it for her 1st birthday. I would love to have it republished. The Co. I used went out of business and the CEO arrested for embezzlement. You just can't trust anyone these days. ={

Smiles and damn people are just out for them selves I am still waiting for my book to be published by ebooks2 go. I won the free publishing but I think they are jerking me around.
-
They don't like it when you get things free. I got a 2 for one deal with my last book. They did the free one in a reasonable amount of time and it is beautiful, but the price is so high no one in their right mind would buy it. I can't even afford it with my discount. I bought 20, 10 for me and 10 for my illustrator and it was over $300. I complained but they want you to pay all this money and you can set your own price. They get you one way or another. I doubt I'll publish again unless a publisher comes to me begging and then I'd think about it. =( I know they need to make money and books sales are way down, but why price a book so high you nor the publisher can make any money on it? Dumb.

And you've done it again with another lovely story. Your animal characters are captivating. I love the discussion of being carried around in a pocket. LOL
The story of the dragonfly as a present for the Baby Jesus is charming. I wondered if Baby Jesus could speak to Izabella with his eyes and tell her Thank you or something before she wakes up. I wanted a little something personal at that point.
Correction(mostly compound sentence commas):
--she had ever seen[,] and it was shining down on a little stable.
-peeked inside[,] and all her friends
-red apples [,] so he would
-rubber ball[,] and Barney Horse...bells[,] so He would
-"I don't have a gift for the baby king," Izabella felt bad.
"I don't have a gift for the baby king." Izabella felt bad.
-a gift[,] too.
- "I have to try,"
"I have to try."
- the bag[[,] and the beautiful dragonfly
-"I love it." Izabella said.
"I love it," Izabella said.
-baby king[,] and how He had given

Thanks so much for pointing out all the corrections. I really appreciate you taking the time to do that. I am so bad with commas and when and when not to use them! Drives me crazy. Thanks so much for the great review. I did change it so the baby smiled at Izabella and she smiled back. Thanks so much for all the great help.

I recently learned the acronym FANBOYS. It stands for the conjunctions that need commas.
FANBOYS: For-And-Nor-But-Or-Yet-So. Be careful of the words then and now; neither is a coordinating conjunction.

I'll have to remember this, though I know I will still blow it. Thanks for the help. =}
