Thank you for the kind and generous review. I will take a look at your poem. There is a lot of talent here on FS. One thing I enjoy about writing is the effect it has on the reader. It is open to the interpretation of the individual reading it; and it may mean something to one and something totally different to another. Good luck to you. namkcirb

I really enjoyed this poem. You made great use of the 5-7-5 format and executed your point effectively. We should all believe in ourselves more. Great work!

Poem says it all, YES...DO believe in & trust your TRUE self, your intuition, heart, soul & 'help/guide' others to do same !
I love short poems, for their WORTH of saying a GREAT DEAL in only few lines ! Well done & good luck in contest...

It is strange how other can really believe in us, but we find so hard to believe in ourselves, why is it sometimes so hard to do...just a few words with a strong message....

I think sometimes we are just to bullheaded to believe in ourselves, strange as that sounds. Thank you; Your kind words and generous rating are appreciated. Good luck to you.

I took this as personal even though you don't know me. It was very encouraging. Sometimes all we have to do is remind ourselves that "I think I can. I think I can."

You are so correct with the reminding ourselves. It is a treasure to get it from someone else. Encouragement will not get the job done for you but, it sure seems to help those that receive it! Your high review and rating are both kind and generous. Thank you.

This is a very wise and excellent 5/7/5. I always say this to my son, not just with words, that I believe in him. It is crucial to believe in yourself to get on in this world, but unfortunately sometimes it is most difficult to do. Thanks for sharing and best wishes for the contest :) Lise

Thank you very much for your kind and generous review. Your words are encouraging. I am glad that you found some interest in the 'real' meaning and enjoyment in its reading. Since I wrote it, I have replied with this to a few readers; encouragement will not get the job done for you but, it sure seems to help those that receive it! Again, thank you. Regards. namkcirb

Life, as hard as it seems sometimes, has its moments of relief. One of them includes kind words from a friend, a family member or even someone unknown, such as you. Thank you. Your gracious review is both encouraging and supportive. Good luck to you.

Many thanks for your gracious response. Happy holiday weekend- Joan

Fantastic message.
Either direction ... yes ... but I prefer the one that you have laid out at present.
Much too often we look to others to help us define our worth. The words of a true friend ... with some good natured eye rolling... the friend says "Yes, yes I believe you can ... but you've got believe it yourself and until you do that anyone and anything can come along and knock you down .... what if I'm not here anymore... who will you turn to, if not yourself."
Thanks.

With simple guiding tool,a good haiku is crafted.
It is a truth that trust is important.
Here, one practises and preaches, both - showing complete trust in the friend and guiding the latter to believe so.
Good one!

You know, when I first wrote this poem. I was going to list it with a different name and change the second 'Believe' to the word trust.
I'm glad I didn't. Thank you for your encouraging review. Good luck to you.

I wrote this down on a stickey note and will put it in my car. I needed this little reminder today. I believe in you as well. I may try a 5-7-5 line poem soon, I hope it will be just as genuine.

I am honored at the thought. Thank you for reading. Your words of review are very encouraging and supportive. This was my first attempt at a 5-7-5 theme poem. At the time I wrote it I was thinking about my 15 year old son. Good luck to you.

Please read my latest write. I am talking to your son. Best wishes.

Can you tell? I hope you were talking to both of us. I believe a person is never to old to benefit from intelligence. Thank you. Regards, namkcirb
