I'm sure this was not an easy format (double refrain ballade supreme) although you make it look relatively effortless. What wonderful memories you must have of that camp. You put the reader right there with your poem. Many vivid images were created and I could almost hear that loon! :) Well penned! A very interesting read from start to finish. Liked learning some of the history that you offered in your poem.

I too am an avid paddler so I know and appreciate what you are talking about. so much history along the banks as you paddle slowly along the way. a romance w/nature- a good way to go.

Good words about nature and all the things to see and enjoy in the outdoors. Fishing and cannoning on a still lake with mother nature all around is breath taking. Good flowing words that rhyme well and tell a super story.
