The message that a friendship can be a shining beacon to follow out of the darkness is told so well in your words. The alliteration is just fantastic, and the analogies of winter feelings and scarlet poppies are excellent.
Best wishes,
Curt

Anyone fortunate enough to have a genuine friend who will stand by them, literally, through the good and the bad is lucky beyond measure. Your beautiful poem captures the spirit and reality of what true friendship is all about. Great job!

Those friends that you can count on one hand are the ones that you want to keep forever. You have described those people in your poem as your loving essentials with uniqueness and beauty. Good luck in the contest!

Winter-white canvas - fresh fallen snow does appear as such. Very good use of metaphors to describe friendship. Well written. Good luck in the contest.

I love the sentiments you encompass here in some
beautiful metaphors. In the midst of pure white
a field of poppies. A bright star in a black
night time sky to guide you home. Exceptional!

This is a nice piece of writing; a good tribute to friendship(I' m sure it refers to true friends). I like the metaphor of field as a description of friendship.

An excellent free verse poem. Your comparison of friends you can count on, to a field of blazing scarlet poppies is great, and of course the accompanying pic was spot on. I felt that your words defined what 'friendship' is/should be and what it means to us.

A true meaning of friendship. Indeed bright enough to guide me home. In a few words you brought the true friendship to light and believe me there are so few that fall into that realm

Jill,
This is a lovely poem on true friendship. Most of us can count our genuine friends on one hand. The color scheme and graphics are excellent and add to enhance the presentation.
