This poem made me think of my college roommate, senior year in the Sigma Nu House, who explained to me that he and I were "good," meaning "smart, handsome and clever," and that we had every right to feel good about ourselves. He WAS good, and went on to have a successful career as a Methodist minister. I loved that most of your poem was a single sentence, just rambling on. I'm not sure I've ever had as good a day as you were having when you wrote this, but I like it that you're celebrating YOU.

Well ... "odes" can be so damned BORING, Dave, right? The alternative was "ode to a toad" - and who'd want to do that? But yes, I had some "alone" quiet time yesterday ... always a good thing! :))))

In those moments of fleeting peace and tranquility, we will write a poem like this.
To serenade what we have or are given.
No one or things upset us today or the sense of belonging as one with the outside world, treading on the green grass, shouting for no reason at the wind or just feel so much contentment on our hearts.
So we celebrate our being here for that moment in time - to be carefree, no stress and just a serene relaxation after finding out we did not gain that much weight in spite of yesterday's gourmet of fine wine, food and ice-cream. Yummy-yummy!

Yes, sometimes life is so yummy like having a romantic interlude with fine wine and music. We will get lost and start to become like silly adult children with dreamy and half-close eyes of nigh (not high, LOL). In the morning after, still dizzy, the peace, quiet and sunshine outside confirmed that last night was indeed not a dream, LOL. Blessing, Ritchie ;)))).
