I was just telling my husband today "I'm not on my 20s anymore. Ahhh!! I don't wanna grow old". And here it is simply, humorously stated why...
It's so hard for me to do this type of poem. Acrostic and you used all the alphabets. Really exceptional.

Thanks again for another exceptional rating. Growing old isn't so bad if you're lucky enough to stay in good health. The "golden years" for some people are the best years of their lives. Hopefully, it will be that way for you. Take good care of yourself. Bill

What are exactly the golden years? they are only for the rich these days. It all depends what you want to do as to how you define how you want to live out your years. Sometimes we can't have it all, we can barely sweep the floor or find our keys. Life has away of slipping by before you even realize it

Thank you for your excellent review and I certainly agree with you. For some, the golden years are the best years of their lives, but for others, it's a constant struggle. Bill

Looks like you have it covered. Getting old is certainly not keeping you from anything. I loved the way you started with the aches and pains and the rocking chair but ended up moving to Miami. Nice job.

With all the aches and pains and other downs of growing old, sounds like you are enjoying it just fine. I'm sure changing your zip code helped quite a bit too. Very well written abecedarian poem. Congratulations on your well-deserved win.

Thanks Doc and you're right, it is a bitch getting old. But, at least I'm still above the ground. And yes, it was spoken from experience, I'm almost 70 and I've had a form of Muscular Dystrophy (MG) for the past 20 years, so it gets rough at times. Take care of yourself my friend. Bill

Congratulations on winning the contest. I have to say, it is a little sad how many of those problems in your poem are creeping into my life. LOL Elizabeth Daniels.

Congratulations on your win. It is very much deserved. This was such a wonderfully funny piece. Granted, I'm still young, so this doesn't apply to me, but I know what I have to look forward to.
Can't wait to get to buy my very own sexy wig ;)
Nice job working with the letter 'X' as well - tackled head on, and not in the roundabout 'ex' way that is common.
Wonderful.

Thank you my friend for your great review, I appreciate it. I'm also glad that you enjoyed it. You're never to young or old to buy a sexy wig. My wife is 60 and she's talking about buying one and she has beautiful hair. Take care and keep writing. Bill
