I really enjoyed reading this and it is a trully funny way of writing a poem about your six year old being a tape recorder. i have a 5 1/2 year old daughter with Autism and she talks from the time she wakes up, non stop till the time she goes to bed. I call her my little "copy cat" She loves trying to copy everything and everybody. I'm grateful for her being able to talk after years of speech therapy. Great poem!

Wow what a beaut review, thanks so much and I am glad you enjoyed my poem.
My four year old daughter is the Copy Cat...I actually jotted down a couple of lines for a poem entitled just that! LOL But its one of many part finished...
They are definitely great little mimics.
    Cheers and thanks again

I like this a lot, the repetitions compliment the tape recorder theme... any one who has ever spent lots of time with children can relate to it. It has good rhythm and flow, the rhymes feel natural and unforced.... I am primarily a free verse girl so I will not presume to critique it's merit as a Rondeau Redouble, but I thought it was a good read, and it made me smile. :) I love the accompanying photo, it takes it to another level. Great work, thank you for sharing it.

Love the rhyming in this, the message is ever so clever with just the right touch of humour - kids today are so quick to pick up on technology - at 6 years old I was still learning the alphabet...an altogether very enjoyable read.
