Good chapter, John. Much food for thought but you lay out your points clearly and coherently and use quotations to advantage.
The challenge is that as we go to school and as the influence of society begins to dominate our thinking, the inherent belief in our own power diminishes and we become like zombies. We just don't use our minds.
As a small child I thought I knew what was in people's minds to the point that when a teacher gave dictation I would write down what I thought she was about to say. But after messing up numerous times, I lost faith in my powers of intuition. Now, in another reality someone would have helped me develop my gift.
The entire system needs to be radically changed.

Absolutely right about one thing: contribution. Our duties SHOULD be to take care of the planet and each other. What a wonderful existence that would be. I'm not so sure about the provisions machine, though. Interesting quotes you have at the end. I liked Shaw's the best.
Overall, an interesting and thought-provoking read.

With cloud technology and the artificial mind Paul and I designed, it wouldn't take long to transform into this system. The chapter "Cogitator" describes the mind. John...

There's a book entitled... The Science of Mind by Holmes. If you haven't read this book. I think you would really find it most interesting. It is a very old book. I read it in my early twenties. It changed the way I look at myself and the world in general. I enjoyed this chapter of your book. Keep them coming
