Wonderful visual imagery of monekys in the white snowy season;
Various colors incorporated into the poem describe winter's beauty, as well as spring's soft shades;
"a red cardinal pecks at birdseed";
"the whiteness of the season"'
I especially like"daffodils sleep below the feet"

I've seen those on TV, warming themselves in the hotsprings. They must freeze when they come out. I can't wait for spring myself. Love your poem.

Never knee much about or ever seen snow monkeys before,
so this was a delightful scene and memoir you have
sheared here about them. Love the interplay of
cardinals and daffodils, as part of the pageantry
of the winter, pre spring debut.
Thanks for sharing...bewt wishes always...Ronni

What a unique way to fend off winter blues. I like the conversation your imagination dreams up, something entertaining and touching. As if your imagination is another presence in the poem itself.

Ha! At first I thought you must have written it in Japan. I like the imagined visit -- and its description. The cardinal, the "lawn of white drifts," the daffodils sleeping -- all paint a clear picture of winter, while the details (like the monkey's wife's name -- a flower) make it easy for the reader to enter into your vision.

brings fluffy monkeys to a
woman longing for spring.
This poetry is very pleasant and held my interest
from start to finish (not all poetry does). It
of an interesting and fun event. The attached
picture is a befitting accent to the piece. Thank
You for your creation.

One time when I was a kid I was in the Dominion store with my mom in Toronto and a lady was pushing a cart with a monkey that looked just like that one in your picture, except it was wearing a frilly dress and a bonnet, I liked you poem, a little bit of editing would make if flow smoother, keep up the good work
