this is very well written, visionary, you did an excellent job writing this free verse poem about stage fright that can grip one before they go on stage. i enjoyed reading it

I have read a few of these "feelings" entries, and I enjoyed your syncopated version--thanks for instructions on how to best read the work. I enjoyed the energy and immediacy, plus all the echoing sounds. I also liked your "fiddle/fiddler" and "red velvet song" metaphors. Thanks for sharing the "moment" and appealing presentation. Hugs- Joan

This is a beautiful piece of poetry that explores various shades of emotions. The flow is great; very musical. I particularly liked the ending lines. kudos

yearning and wanting something more from a mundane life can play tricks in our minds to make irrational decisions. Temptation abounds, and sometimes there's no turning back. We may want to "want to puke ... want to fly!" but it is gonna be higher than what we had wanted. Finally restraint and the conscience to do the right thing! That was the emotions and feelings I got. This one is fun. What do you expect from the tapping of 1 2 3...1.2.3...1/2/3..and there she goes again..with the tap tap tap..should i or should I not..maybe? Good write..swift poem and must read fast to pickup the pace of temptation..lest we decide otherwise. Do it before the tapping wake us up from our yearnings! Cheers.

you got it, dear - tap tap tap to get the beam of the poem if you need it - but if you read it fast, you probably won't need it! :) Sharyn

Wanting to puke and fly at the same time - it's either love or too much tequila. :) This is creative and conveys strong emotion that takes the reader for a ride. I like the imagery of the fiddle music also. You fulfilled the prompt, as the poem definitely explores emotions.

This work has reached the exceptional level

I love this poem. Free style done well is my favourite kind of poetry, and this is done well. I have not heard of "slam style" before but love the idea of it. I often use a rant or rap rhythm in my free style, but most times the rhythm just creates itself!
Your title is a master stroke! What a great phrase.
Great entry, good luck - Cally :)
