This is a nice piece of rhyming poetry that tells an inspirational story that highlights the importance of
determination. Nice rhymes and fairly smooth rhythm. kudos

I enjoyed this tale of "The Little Viking", however I don't think it rhymes as well as some of your other works. The artwork is so cute! I really liked the sixth stanza. But, the ending I thought was the best: "Don't let anything get in your way No matter how big or scary it is you can handle it...come what may".

Hello to you EricDaGoose
Good lesson for all of us. You say it's a rhyming poem I notice is is mixed rhyme) with no set pattern.

what a cool viking poem, veru entertaining and fun.
Would make a good kid's book.
The image really adds to the theme of your poem.
Nice to have stories with a moral...
"The moral that's here should be very clear
Don't let anything get in your way
No matter how big or scary it is
you can handle it...come what may"

Alas, Eric, I have no six to give to you. But I take from you the lesson: The moral that's here should be very clear
Don't let anything get in your way
No matter how big or scary it is
you can handle it...come what may - this has never been so apt as it is this week for me with an injured swimmer swimming the biggest gala of the year. Loved this story and the way your poem flowed. luv jada

What a lovely message delivered in such an engaging way. Any kid can associate with the beautiful way the message is conveyed. Never give up...not only to kids...but us grownups too.

Nice work! A lesson for all to learn and never considered a little Viking to deliver it in such a way as this. Well done and good work!

I totally enjoyed this poem, ED. Especially enjoyed the parrot, Petey. Great use of their interaction to deliver the message about not giving up. Well done!

Warmest regards, Bev

Good message, Eric. However, using the stop sign for the message may not to a good message for children. If a person goes through a stop sign, they might get hit. Maybe you need a stanza which explains 'stop' means look both ways to see if it is safe to go on. Otherwise the poem flows well and has a nice rhyme to it. I enjoyed reading it. Children would like the picture.
