this was wonderful. very tender and communicating an aura of genuine happiness. you included sensory (visual and aural) metaphors, integrating natural and human components, and the feeling came through. the photo too was lovely.

What a joyful litle poem reflecting fun times at the beach. Your poem reminded me when my oldest son was little playing at the beach for his first time, making castles and moulds of him self as he wriggled out of the sand leaving just the out cast of his body which of course wasn't perfect.
