Very creative acrostic poem you have penned here. I liked, the teasing, taunting phrases call in tints and hues of unrefined.-Gary

Painters like writers are artist of a different kind, same genre, same deep thoughts and expressions plus sensitivity. As the painters paint the vivid imagery of a poet's writings, by the same token, a poets paints the imagery of the painters in our minds. The last two lines can be " Deep metaphor and assonance; Prose carefully, a scene unfurls" best describe this poem. Good write, imagery and the way painters paint is like the way we write. Good expressions. Cheers.

Thank you for taking the time to read and review my words. I agree about the art. The local artist's guild, about 150 paintbrushes strong, is painting to my poems for their winter assignment. It occurred to me that the painting really goes both ways views from words and words from views and voila, a poem had begun to germinate and grow. I am glad you enjoyed the piece.

Thank you so much Bryana for the R and R and the thorough read of my work. I have a thing about both rhyme and rhythm and so I appreciate doubly your mention of both.--Wendy

Wow, that's quite an illustration, with the original and a contemporary Mona Lisa! I relished your acrostic with its additional rhymes and excellent flow, as you described the "metered paintbrush"--a great metaphor. I admired your "Gestault" reference and "pearls" simile as well. This must be a contest winner! Cheers--I'm only sorry I don't have a six this poem deserves- Joan

I've no 6 left but this is definately worth one, this is brilliant! You really have painted a picture with your words, as it is said, a picture paints a thousand words, it also applies the other way round but with emotion and feeling. I know paintings are said to do that, but I am not into art that way, lol, a picture is a picture, might be lovely to look at but words paint a different picture, they can reach the soul. Good luck in the contest! xsx Sandra

Your poem about writing was so well-written! The teasing, taunting phrases call. Every writer has had this maddening experience where you know you are so close to the right words. I loved the last line. If we're lucky, we succeed in doing this. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for taking the time to read and review my words. Yes, it is extremely difficult to be so close to the right word--and there always is one- and realize you haven't found it yet. --Wendy
