Cool! I quite like your description of "Animated Stills" as your poetic style. My muse is quite often a photograph I have taken. Sometimes, the poem begins without the photo...but as I continue writing, I remember the photo and have to go dig it out of thousands to add it as art on here!

Your poem is great. You have covered the eons of time in this epic piece. I only wish I had a six left to give you.

A couple of things I noticed were as follows:
5th line - dreamt is misspelled

7th line of 2nd stanza - mangy is the normal spelling - mangey is a variant spelling...but rarely used. For poetic verse I suppose it is totally acceptable, so this suggestion is a matter of choice.

Then in your author's notes 3rd line down in the paragraph "ancient" is typoed.

Thanks for sharing this!
Blessings to you,
Marsha

Slumber on the Colossus

Like what a dream to had passed,
a century or beyond the unexpected time
of recourse frozen in the moment of time
the sleep on unquestionable recourse to go by.

I love going to the Assyrian Gates in the wonderful British Museum - I stand in awe looking at these monoliths and ponder those same questions! a few spags:

While you dreampt ( no such word? dreamed?)
How many fevored (fevered?) feet have trampled through
millenium (millennium?)

:) good thoughts!
