Brilliant message in this. I have spent previous years of my childhood believing that I should get a certain amount of (expensive) presents each year for christmas. But over the past two years, as I am growing up and experiencing more of the world, I have realised that it's not all about the presents. Even though I am not religious, I believe that Christmas is a time to be with your loved ones, a day that brings everybody together with content. I hope that more children learn this and appreciate all that they have which others do not.

Thanks for sharing!:)

I often feel that, October, when I look around me and think, how I wish I could afford this or that. I then look, really look at what I have. I am rich beyond compare to those people who have absolutely nothing. Their children starving, no roof other their heads. Then I feel a crushing guilt. Thank you so very much for this review and your thoughts. xsx Sandra

"little girl stood up and smiled.
"Mary and Joseph had a child!"
"So it's His Birthday," said a boy.
"And then three kings brought him a toy!"
You definitely captured the true meaning of Christmas. Nice presentation. I really enjoyed the lines above. Good job.

Such a charming and quite delightful piece, perfectly pitched at children. You have successfully managed to weave in the Nativity with all the magical fun and presents side of the this time of year. It is inspired that you use the representative (Santa) of the commercialised aspect to be the one who is saddened that children forget the true meaning. Very poignant and an important message well expressed.
Good rhyming couplets that flow with a great rhythm which is sure to appeal to children and adults alike.

This is a cheery poem that lovingly reminds children, as well as the rest of us, why we feel good and celebrate this Christmas season. Nice work.

What an interesting way to get the attention of the readers, especially children and to tell them the story of Jesus.
Fairies and Santa...cute. You forgot the elves.

I thoroughly enjoyed your Christmas poem all pretty in pink.

God bless and have a beautiful, thankful Thanksgiving.

This is a charming poem, with the lovely happy ending that the children showed, and expressed, that they really knew about the deeper meanings of Christmas. Rhythm, rhymes and flow, as well as content, are also well done. Best regards, Jeanie Mercer

this is very well written, sandra, you did an excellent job writing this beautiful poem about teaching the true meaning of Christmas, i wrote a story one time about santa wanting to cancel Christmas because nobody knew the real meaning of Christmas and Mrs. Claus sent the elves on a mission to find a child that knew the true meaning.

The joyous reason for the season. Peace on earth - good will toward men. The purpose behind each gift we give as well as receive. Pray tell our children are given this most precious of gifts. Well versed.

Till the last amen.

I really enjoyed your piece and the wonderful message you delivered. All to often these days the real meaning of Christmas is overshadowed with the main focus being on the gifts. Thanks for sharing this beautifully written poem!
