Indeed, I did enjoy this story poem. I learned something new tonight and I'm glad I took the time to read. Thank you for the note explaining the history. I didn't realize the horse's name was actually warrior until I read the note. If only we all could have the spirit of this warrior. :)

Your poem describes a moment in history that was shared in marvelous rhyme format. The cadence in your verse was well conducted and provided the rhythm we enjoyed.

HI

I take it this is the story of "War Horse" Stephen Spielberg. I have not seen the movie or read anything about the characters and events you talk about in you're homage. War is hell for men and beast. Neither will survive against the furry of battle without God's grace.

This wonderful story poem of a famous horse is told with detail, truth and honesty. The picture shows this great horse who came from the moors and dales Of England to battle in the terrible war. He must have had a amazing heart to live on and do so much. Horses were so very important in that war and I weep to myself, when thinking of all the tragedy and danger they went through. Great poem Lesley.j.

Hello Lesley, Thanks so much for reading and appreciating the horrors that the men and horses went through - still, Jack and Warrior were amongst the few that came home unscathed. Blessings, K.

Great work! I love the way you tie such a vast amount of history. I am not usually that interested in history, but your poem painted a mental picture in my head with great details. Your poem flows along quite well. I think you have a good shot of winning the competition!

Hi Kay,

I was almost afraid to read this, thinking the horse probably got killed. Glad to see that they both returned safely. What a lot of history you have told here! Thanks for sharing.

Hugs,
Lois

What a wonderful story of man and beast, a good beast. What a wonderful horse and so brave. Looking at your author notes, I love inspiring movies like these, especially when they are true. I like when the good guys win. Great job with this. ~Yona
