Hi Vance. I agree with many of the points you have wrote about here. Sentience is a big part of it, but not all. Animals are also sentient and are victims of the worst cruelty possible inflicted by humans, and my heart breaks for the inhumanity of man toward them.

God gave us free will and that's the crux of the matter for me. We can use that gift to our glory or destruction. Discernment helps us to make the choice of good or evil. I agree with you completely on gratitude.

A little something to fix here: "The brain is the "gray" mass that houses the the (delete 2nd 'the') vehicles of thought that carry us"
Best regards--Marilyn

You have begun what looks to be a most worthy endeavor here, and the principles upon which you base it appear reasonable and sound to me. I especially agree about the importance of love. You are addressing what is becoming an increasingly urgent need, and I hope you can complete it in time to help the many who might benefit from it -- if they have the wit to grasp its significance. Superb.

Just a couple of minor typos:

In sentence 3, I recommend "we are separated from other" (rather than "by")

Near the end, a space is missing; should be "pure, desperate,"

Thought-provoking chunks here. I would suggest you break it up into paragraphs leaving a space between each one-- time for the reader to absorb your ideas.
So glad to see you write "Love is the ultimate form of perception as it is our connector to our creator" as this goes along with my metaphysical teachings.

" Poetry is a profoundly powerful gymnasium of the mind that demands courageous exploration in to "gray" areas of perception" I love the metaphor and description.

By grayness, do you mean our shadow self?

This is a very interesting poetic reflection of "grayness" which seems to match your Fanstory name. I am reminded of St. Paul's 1 Corinthians 13 passage of "now we see through a glass darkly" but perhaps according to this post, it's "grayly."

A very interesting sounding book according to this prologue and one I hope to read more of in the future. It sounds like we think much alike about the meaning of life, my friend~Debbie

You have a force to be heard in this write and I assume it will be in further writes of this book. I wrote about what I believe to be "Christianity" a while back. Not so sure there is any vast differences between our beliefs only in the words themselves. Good luck on this book. regards Kiwi

Thanks so much kiwigirl, for this lovely review and I am glad to know you have further interest. I believe the final Heaven is pure and constant light and NO darkness shall enter therein. When we are in the light, we have a direct connection with God and are able to deal with life with much more clarity and simplicity. We have free will, so the choice of where we go with our minds is a big issue. There is little, perhaps NO blessing of any kind in darkness as it is the house of Satan and while we must endure the night, the light of GOD is always available to us...BY CHOICE. But most of the world does indeed spend lots of time in the GRAYNESS...which still produces gifts of wisdom and charity from God. Blessings and Love! HIS GRAYNESS; Vance

I LAUGHED at the last sentence as it confirms what i said in one of my recent replies-that you could be the leader of your own worldwide "cult" so to speak (the cult of ABSOLUTE TRUTH, FULFILLMENT, and SINCERITY.....ooooooh, are you evil! HAHAHAHAHA

Dear Val: with such rich and trenchant communications skills unmatched by any who critiques or celebrate the poet's passions here on FS I suggest it may be you in reality that could assemble a cult following all battling for your attention and your words of celebration, revisions, or damnations!

here's the irony-i went through almost an entire lifetime with a "family" that completely ignored and insulted my artistic accomplishments(it's a miracle I didn't lose my sanity-i'm not joking)-only my stepsister's father believed in me and the arts-so, I appreciate the recognition and I thank you for your talent....I feel kinda bad that I gave specialkk here on FS a semi hard time (she no longer speaks to me) but I HAD TO TELL HER THE TRUTH OF MY reactions to her works- as an Aquarian, I'm all about honesty,sincerity,justice,etc......next subject-I'm curious as 613 cats as to your universe (owning technology, sending a song to Graceland, our tv show about you)wow....maybe we were suppose to meet for a high purpose (I give you the idea for the tv show, you get my songs out there) I'm deadly and lively serious...cheers

If the author's "grayness" is the same as "gray areas," then all of us have this coloring at sometime of our lives.

Maybe we stay in this area by choice or indecision while waiting for the opportune moment to choose our direction. Maybe our tenure in the area gives us time whether to choose the light or stay in darkness.

While "grayness" may have its innate nature of a dark connotation, it could also serve a useful purpose in getting us prepared for the next step.

While it maybe true that we are separated from other forms of life by being sentient, we also sometimes act on "instinct."

Very intelligent piece of writing. Has me analyzing "Creative Endeavor" Your wording is tight, as it shows a well thought out view on life. My favorite: "Poetry is a profoundly powerful gynmasium of the mind that demands courageous exploration in to "gray" Your grayness, very thought provoking. Sorry, my sixes have been spent. Les
