Ye gads you took longer to explain why you chose a pineapple that to write the pineapple story. I'mm sure there were all sorts of reasons going on at the time. Also sure that God would love a little light.

God
is ready
to clean up
our sticky mess,
we could soon see
elemental sparkling quarks
of ingenuity
where gold dreams
spiral
with greens
and
hope

anything we can do to help the big G along Gungalo ... and there are a lot of newbie head-scratcher-two-star-scorers out there who just love to say "whine ... I don't get it ..." - so I fugred I'd over-explain what is actually rather a complex prompt. That's my explanation and I'm sticking it. (In reality, I wrote the thing first, then tried to re-trace my steps, as the discussion is on 'abstract' at the moment - always a challenge to follow one's convoluted thoughts, yes? Unless you have a one track mind of course ... he he he )

And of course you don't right girl? I'm all for it if you have the rhyme I have the time. Ooops wait, there's no rhyme. Well you know what I mean JellyBean.

I think you just go to your Profile page, select "edit profile" and it will ask you if you want to edit pic - put it on your desktop - then hit browse, hit desktop and you should be able to shuffle thru whatever's on your desktop until you see what you want, double click on it, and it should appear, and ask for your approval. Dying to see the New YOU!!!! yeah Beth!!!!

Pineapple is definitely an exotic fruit, one that reminds of the tropics...Nice poem using this connection to make your point.

I like your choice of descriptive words:
blue jelly-fished
juicy red swirls elemental sparkling quarks

I can see this was a lot of fun- and fun, may I say, to read also! I think it's stupid that it took a lot of bad publicity from the media for them to stop. Or maybe they just wanted attention, people to see how much power they really do have!

Interesting piece!:)

thx so much my dear - yes, the "abstract" thing was a VERY interesting prompt - such fun to watch one's brain spark from one thing to another and just go along for the ride! :) Sharyn

This is wonderful, not only deep and poignant in your message but fitting perfectly as an entry to this abstract contest. Excellent presentation, just great throughout and I wish you the very best of luck!! Brian :)

That would have taken some thought to put this together, Sharyn. I don't know that I could have done it so well. A very interesting challenge, well done.

Hullo Visionary ....

Clearly, you put a great deal of thought into the construction of your abstract presentation under the title of Pineapple Paradise .... accompanied by an appropriate
travel poster.
There is nothing to suggest changing. Your structuring of this writing makes for a very attractive format.
All round, I enjoyed this work and, as it is a Contest entry, I wish you well.
Love from .... Nanette Mary.

Well done, Sharyn. I did feel as if I were on a carousel that kept going faster. "what price Paradise?" I believe that we have our own personal ones.

I had to read your poem three times to get the gist of it...
That's o.k., it was worth it.

Great job and good luck in the contest

Interesting contest topic. Well done. Really feel for the poor old whales as I'm watching humpbacks every day I'm on duty at Marine Rescue in Eden. Killer Whales in the bay two days ago. I know what they're after, a nice young calf. That's why the mums take their calves right into Twofold Bay. They hope the Killers will bypass them. I'm off to Taroona for two weeks so you won't see anything from me after today.
