This 5-7-5 (true to form) poem states a huge truth in so few words. The last emphatic line I especially liked; but personally, I would have said "false" identity (know some of those very well). The artwork is fascinating--can't quit staring at it! Great read!

Well, this is indeed a short poem with a powerful statement, one that makes you pause and reflect. I linger on the first line, wondering what is to be recognized. The possibilities are many. I'm thinking self-respect cannot exist with identity, but I still linger on that first line.

I loved it, Kamran. This makes so much sense to me- one needs self-respect as well as respect for others and their surroundings or they just turn into another walking dead. Great work! Holly
