Very visual in these lines:
"wave your hazy curtains
in the shimmers of the moonlight"
"infinite midnight blue,
our soul-stars streaking""sliding down the satin rainbow
back to the warm safety of your bed,"

A happy fairy tale of a child dreaming...

A beautifully written poem. The story about your son is quite interesting as are poeple's reports of near-death experiences. Good luck in the contest!!! Debbie

Hi the author,

Interesting theme for your poem, it touches on one of those sixty-four thousand dollar questions. Where do we come from and where do we go in the end.

The free flowing presentation of this is absolutely lovely to go with the beautiful thought of the poem. This is a good entry and will be a strong contender for the contest. The wording is imaginative and creative. Good luck!

This is an interesting piece. I am left wonder who the "we" may be. It seemed as if they are angels bunt usually references to faeries exclude angels. None the less, good job and good luck.

Hi Poet,

You have written a lovely poem for the contest. The picture you chose is priceless and it reminds me of how innocent our little ones are. I have never had a out of the body experience but I believe your son did. You have used great words to tell this tale and I enjoyed every word. Well done and good luck in the contest....blessings, chey

well done, I my it to the verse of leaving through the open window..
find myself doing that on occasion.....
course I relate that to my being deer to my mother, along with the fact that, I was cistercian born....
You can't really tell, except when leaving my house I trend to exit through the window.......

Cheers...Ron

I love this piece, so tender and beautiful. We all wish we had parents who thought in poetry :) Such a beautiful and endearing poem, evoking images of innocence against moon of a friend. Special.
