This wonderful poem goes straight to my hart, which instantly starts to pump out memories of a romance in Paris; and romances in the US for that matter! The way you intersperse the flowing text with the lines with only one to a few words, gives the story an ardent intensity.
The repeated sentenses: "Alone in Paris"/I don t know you", creates refuges for the reader to rest a second; take a breath, before continuing. Thanks for sharing this lovable poem! All the best Springrain

Wow, that is HOT! Cold shower indeed...at my age one is glad for the heat. I've been gone for a couple of weeks, attending my 60th high school reunion among other visits to Michigan. Bumped into all these nubile young maidens with whom I used to cuddle in the back seats of cars, who are now 78 year-old little old ladies.
So I'm pleased to return to "Alone in Paris." You just HAD to win that contest...and I see that you did. Congrats.

The romance and excitement of two strangers never dulls throughout as I read, "I don't know you." Each time that phrase was strengthened. The ending cleverly turns around and changes to "Let me know you, I whisper
