It is a fantastic piece of work narrating the significance of Lord , when some body has strong faith on Him. It is extremely impressive and enjoyable.

This is a lovely spiritual poem, Christina, and so very true. God is there all the time for us, if we want or need Him, but He would be pleased if we spoke to Him at other times too. Well written, and a pleasure again to read. Sandra xsx

Not quite sure what sidle is maybe slide... I have a great appreciation for religious poetry but I find the language could be improved to give greater emphasis and enhancement to this otherwise well meaning piece.

The Bible says "draw near to God and He will draw near to you. This poem is about a personal relationship with Him. I understand you may feel the word is too familiar.

I dont feelthe word is to familiar I feel the words of your poem should oooze with linguistic challenge and confrontation and righteousness with a way to accept the magnificence that is God and his kingdom.

I understand but God is also love that comes close and comforts and walks with us and puts an end to loneliness. I hang out with kids so I like my poetry to be accessible to all not only the highly educated. I get where you are coming from though.

sidle = walk obliquely esp. in furtive or unobtrusive way. The Holy Spirit is very unobtrusive until we invite Him in.

Excellent I agree many thanks for the understanding of the word...I should have checked myself to see if it existed.

Hi again, I hope you are enjoying this conversation as I am. I met God when I prayed that He would make himself real to me. At the same time I shared with God my need for a friend as my best friends had moved to another state for work. I got three more friends. God the creator I knew.
I met Jesus my saviour and the Holy Spirit who gently guided me into a deeper and deeper knowledge of God Father Son and Holy Spirit. He loves me. The other friend wasmy God given husband who praise God loves me too.

I hear you, I also am a christian... I just expect more poetry to be delivered with force and meaning to the reader, thats all... I understand if you are writing with a view to children as then it has to be accesable.

This is a lovely little poem. The image chosen was suitable for a walkway - and this is what it's all about - a walk with God. Well done, I enjoyed the rhythm and pace.

Excellent work! Your rhyming pattern flows really well here. I enjoyed the effects the image added to the poetry as well.

Christina, the message is simple and straightforward. It is well presented. I am having some trouble with the use of "sidle" to close out the poem. I know there's nothing wrong with the word, but it isn't one that that, for me, belongs with God.

One final comment about this (I won't belabor the point any further) - I totally understand the God drawing near to us - no problem with that. My concern is that in looking at the dictionary definition of sidle, it doesn't connote the type of action you have referenced here. Thanks for considering.

Thank you for thinking about it at all. I'm honoured you took the time.
