A script with so much real imagery and so true to life words. A well written poem with the colours and verse along with the contents all blend together beautifully. No need or improvement.

I enjoyed this. I could see the character watching the children and going over old memories and feel his frustration in not being able to participate. This summer was horrid down here with flooding that actually submerged some homes so I understand your author notes. It always strikes me when we can find some good in the bad as in " remember what made them special, that you revere." Well said!

I worried about my Fanstory friends from down south a good bit. I have been though a flooded area, and no what it's like. When the power is out here, most get testy, but don't know what a real disaster would be like.

I enjoyed this review, and it is an image of me, but having a driveway on the hill, I am making sure the kids are playing safely. This is for a publication, and wasn't in the mood for a summer poem, but I used my own feelings to convey something that really does concern me, as so often people don't look back and get trapped in the same state of being, which neither benefits them or the people around them.

I thank you very much for your compliments and this wonderful review. Mike

It is sweet that you are looking on the up side. I'm not what would be considered old but summer heat just seems to beat me down. I will try to remember your words the next time i am put out with the heat. Thank you for sharing. Blessings!

Unfortunately, as we aged we tend to be more cynical. No season will please us. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words.

I found this to be a loving and thoughtful poem. It is full with an array of vivid images and you pull the overall theme together quite nicely. Impressive. And real. Excellent work.

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Your poem is well written and portrays what happens to older people as Summer and Winter affects them in a negative way.As we get older and diseases ravage our bodies the weather changes are very hard to deal with. Being a young man ,I commend you for writing about it. The memories come back to us of the way we enjoyed the seasons afore mentioned and how now we seek shelter from them. The art used depicts your write and shows the pain older seniors go through. Thanks for posting.

Your poem rings true about the cha negs in our bodies as age sets in. We have memories that will inspire to enjoy one day at a time, one season at a time. A thoughtful piece rich with imagery.

we all go to our 'comfort zones' and sometimes get 'stuck in a rut', our tolerance fades when this happens, but when we emerge into life again, it is wonderful to renew all of those senses we have dulled and live again. I loved your honesty, angela59

I enjoyed this work. This poem gives me something to look forward to. Yes, times change and we get older, but it's always fresh if we keep the right eyes and the right attitude. (But does it have to be with so much gray and wrinkles?) LOL

Nicely done.

I actually considered gray hairs, one's forever lost and wrinkles to be tributes for the road we travel and cross we bear. LOL No one wants to make any wise cracks after that.

I enjoyed your review and thank you for it, the compliments and humor. Mike
