I liked your repeat line throughout the various verses but I did not understand it. What is meant by lets take two? Your cadence was good and the rhyme scheme well chosen.

I don't know about the rules of this poem, but it seems like you did a good job. I do like the words of your poem! I,m all for having summer again or unending! I do think that the Lord has His reasons, though, for having seasons. Some we will never understand right now.

Good poem, good flow and nice message. Blessings, LaVonne

Very fun and uplifting piece about love and trying to outrun the season. Nice rhythm to the piece- of the tropical elements or calypso music with a lovely picture to boot. Great work and good luck! holly

Do not so much attention to the things that have passed because all are being gone on the flitting time, but it is written nicely enough to be gifted a 5, well done, Simon.

Your poem is a perfect fit for me, I do not want summer to end. Your poem captures the feel of wanting summer all year long. I like the part about going south to continue experiencing summer.

Even though this was a very nice piece, I'm not so fond of summers. I love fall and spring, when mosquitoes have yet to gain a stronghold on my back yard.

Still, I'm not gonna let that distract me from appreciating a great poem when I see one.

Very nice, my friend.

aaah, but you're critiquing the poem, Edward, and not letting your personal feelings get in the way, right? And mosquitoes you can keep all for yourself my friend!!! Blessings!

Great job, there are places that summer is all year long right? I don't know if I could live there, I love my seasons, winter could be a bit shorter though!

thx Crystal - when you live in one of these "all year long" places Crystal, there are fine distinctions between the "seasons" which you notice after a while. But I must admit I DO love to go play in the snow occasionally!
