It's a good poem. I can feel her sadness at the end of summer. The only problem is it's not a 5-7-5. I hope you find the right contest for it.

5-7-5 poetry is only three lines with five syllables, seven syllables and five syllables again. You have many more lines than three and more syllables too. For example from your poem:
the sun strokes my hair (5)
and blue wind blows me a kiss (7)
things canā??t get better (5)

5-7-5 verse format is just that a syllable count on each line. You contributed a well structured poem that does not meet the guidelines of the contest. Your white lettering an an orange background makes it real hard to read. Good rhyme choices throughout you need to put this in the general poetry area not 5-7-5.

5-7-5 verse format is three lines of poetry. 5syllables in the first line, seven in the second and five in the third all tied to your subject or theme.

Yes, it does capture the youthful joy of summer, I enjoyed the rhythm and flow to this, nice work. It's not a haiku, but it is great summer song
