This is a great acrostic with aabbcc rhyme scheme. You have a stormy ring message, which is clear and will resonate with people who are patriotic about their country. I think the meter is out in a couple of lines, which affects the poem's flow slightly, although I'm no expert. Well done!

Forever, Old glory, united we stand, refusing... defeat, treasuring every stripe (even those stripes remind me of Jesus: by His stripes we're healed, even though that has nothing to do with the flag, and yet, within that flag lies a deeper meaning and rich) I may never look at the flag the same way again.

A patriotic poem for the 4th of July! Yeah! Winston Churchill said that democracy is the worst form of government known until one considers all the others. So true! Good write!
