This is a sad poem about the disastrous effect of a twister.
The first line has the essence of a twister being wind that blows, the next the swinging bat that creates huge damage for a few seconds and then the third line explains the real, lingering damage: that everything we hold precious can be destroyed in those few seconds. I feel like I have been invited into a horendous experience that I have only seen on the TV or other media. Emotive writing.

This is a very though-provoking piece of work that challenges the reader to really think about what you wrote- I like that. You stated a mouthful in three short lines. The only thing that i can advise you on is that the first and third lines are more than the syllable count. Great work. Intelligent piece! Good luck in the contest! Holly
