I am not sure that this answered the prompt as well as other entries, but it was the most intriguing to me and I read it several times. I am always awed when someone is able to paint such a succinct picture so cleverly. Your poignant penning has described perfectly my idea of how a personality is created and a life lived. In particular, the section:
pictures were added
to support the text
~ memories ~
with some
their ink leaked through
ruining several pages
while others
brightened and rejuvenated
all they touched
I loved every bit of the poem and would like your permission to print it off and hang it in the library, here in my Bed and Breakfast.

"Leather skin" takes me off course and allows me to see images of S&M. Otherwise, it's a good poem. Subtle rhymes mixed with thoughts and spirituality. Nice.
