I actually missed this in the normal 'read and review' part of Fanstory, but I actually had gone into my voting booth and read it and immediately gave it my two thumbs up vote! What a great honor to see that you won! And, you deserve it. I like the analogy of the eye being like a shutter on a camera. Some times I want to shut my shutters and not see what I am seeing, but that is beside the point. Great job on this! Love the artwork.

Your 1-9-1 poem is very well written with strong imagery that paints a picture in the readers head of eyes. The art work is eye catching. In your poem you've used very good alliteration with the L words and you used great metaphor (as life passes by). I enjoyed all eleven syllables: "eyes like shutters open as life passes by" I wish you good luck in the 1-9-1 Poem writing prompt contest with your poem. I will recommend your thought pondering 1-9-1 poem to other reviewers. Nice day to you.

I like the idea of this - it speaks to honesty and seeing truth rather than our own fictions. The closing word could be stronger on its own, perhaps, but that's a very minor quibble.
