Hard for someone to understand who hasn't a background in metaphysical thinking. The speaker is obviously a soul escaped from its human form, obviously a man who fell upon hard times, but found a woman how loved him unconditionally. Beautiful description of what I imagine a soul free of body would do.

Well done and an enjoyable read. It has a very poetic sense to it and flows well. Great descriptions, "He swirled in a circle of mist, and mated with another of his kind." Nothing seen to suggest and no spags noticed.
